At OTCDomain, we are committed to providing transparent and fair outcomes for all our clients. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may be requested and granted across our various services. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
1. Domain Purchases (Marketplace & Fixed-Price Listings)
All domain sales through our marketplace or fixed-price listings are considered final once payment has been confirmed and the domain transfer process has been initiated. Due to the nature of digital assets and the immediate transfer of ownership, we are generally unable to offer refunds once a transfer is underway.
Exceptions apply in the following circumstances:
- Transfer Failure Due to Our Error: If a domain transfer fails as a result of an error on OTCDomain's part, we will either complete the transfer within a reasonable timeframe or issue a full refund.
- Incorrect Domain Delivered: If a domain other than the one purchased is transferred to you, we will correct the transfer at no charge or issue a full refund at your discretion.
- Domain Misrepresentation: If a domain was materially misrepresented in its listing (e.g., incorrect TLD, expiry date, or ownership status), you may be eligible for a full refund upon investigation.
Refund requests based on a change of mind, business strategy shifts, or dissatisfaction with the domain's market performance after purchase will not be considered.
2. Domain Brokerage Service
Our domain brokerage service involves active research, outreach, negotiation, and coordination on your behalf. Due to the labour-intensive nature of brokerage work, the following terms apply:
- Service Fees (Pre-Commencement): If you cancel your brokerage engagement before any outreach or negotiation has begun, you may be eligible for a full refund of any service fees paid, less any applicable administrative charges.
- Service Fees (In Progress): Once outreach, research, or negotiations have commenced, brokerage fees are non-refundable, as significant time and resources have already been invested on your behalf.
- Success-Based Commission: If your brokerage arrangement is on a success-only commission model, no fee is charged unless a deal is successfully closed. No refund is applicable in this case.
- Unsuccessful Acquisition: If we are unable to acquire the target domain on your behalf despite reasonable efforts, any non-refundable service or retainer fees will not be returned, as they cover the cost of the work performed. This will be made clear to you prior to engagement.
3. Domain Valuation & Consulting Services
Fees paid for domain valuation reports, market analysis, or consulting sessions are non-refundable once the deliverable has been provided or the session has taken place. If a session or report is cancelled by OTCDomain prior to delivery, a full refund will be issued.
4. Digital Services (Design, Development & Other)
For any digital services including website design, development, branding, or related work, refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis according to the following guidelines:
- No Work Commenced: If your project has not yet been started at the time of your cancellation request, a full refund will be issued.
- Work In Progress: If work has begun, a partial refund may be issued proportional to the percentage of work that remains incomplete. The amount will be determined at OTCDomain's reasonable discretion, taking into account hours worked, resources allocated, and deliverables already provided.
- Work Completed or Delivered: Once a project has been fully completed and delivered, no refund will be issued. If you are dissatisfied with the quality of work, please contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to address your concerns.
5. Cryptocurrency & Non-Traditional Payment Methods
OTCDomain accepts cryptocurrency and other non-traditional payment methods for select services. Please note the following:
- Refunds for payments made via cryptocurrency will be issued in the equivalent fiat value at the time the refund is approved, or in the original cryptocurrency at OTCDomain's discretion. We are not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations between the time of payment and the time of refund.
- Transaction fees associated with cryptocurrency payments are non-refundable in all cases.
6. Escrow-Based Transactions
For transactions conducted through a third-party escrow service, refund terms are governed primarily by the escrow provider's own policies. OTCDomain will cooperate fully with the escrow service to facilitate any legitimate refund or dispute resolution process.
7. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
We encourage clients to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with their bank or card provider. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting OTCDomain may result in the suspension of your account and any active services. We take all dispute claims seriously and will work in good faith to resolve issues quickly.
8. How to Request a Refund
To submit a refund request, please contact us at info@otcdomain.com with the following information:
- Your full name and registered email address
- Your order number or transaction reference
- The service or domain name in question
- A clear description of the reason for your refund request
- Any supporting documentation (screenshots, correspondence, receipts)
We aim to acknowledge all refund requests within 2 business days and to provide a decision within 5 business days of receiving all required information.
9. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund has been approved, please allow the following processing timeframes:
- Credit/Debit Card Payments: 5–10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your card issuer.
- Bank Transfers: 3–7 business days, depending on your bank and country.
- Cryptocurrency Payments: 3–5 business days following confirmation of wallet details.
- Other Payment Methods: Timeframes will be communicated at the time of refund approval.
OTCDomain is not responsible for delays caused by your bank, payment processor, or financial institution.
10. Changes to This Policy
OTCDomain reserves the right to update or modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
